Here's hoping and praying he has been in debate classes these past 3 years.

And I also hope and believe that he has seen the light on the illegal immigrant issue since he did send the national guard to the border.

On the Illegal Immigrant issue, he limited the National Guard to simply an observation and report role, no detaining.

Not sure if that qualifies if you truly are against Illegal Immigration.

You hope and believe wrongly:

9/21/2014 - Governor Rick Perry reaffirmed his support of allowing illegal immigrant students to pay in-state tuition at Texas colleges and universities, while U.S. citizens from other states continue to pay higher out-of-state tuition rates.

At least he knows not to try to debate with pain pills in his system. I wasn't thrilled about his college tuition/illegal gambits, but do not believe that it constitutes a real concern - a State does what a State does to support itself the best way it can. The Federal Government has the Constitution and 10th Amendment to protect the States. if a candidate is good with the Constitution, it doesn't matter that he did some things in his State that i disagree with. I prefer Cruz or Walker, but would be very comfortable with Perry.
