I have seen a move among black people posting and commenting, that seems to be shifting towards more responsibility of the community. This is good.

They all have a fresh reminder of the absolute worst that can happen when no one takes responsibility; The Ferguson Fire Night, a completely unnecessary tragedy, egged on by the media and the White House. That part of the town is gone for the next few generations. Terrorists didn’t do that, the Chinese didn’t have to do it either.

I think a lot of these folks are genuinely embarrassed over the whole thing because it makes the whole race look like a pathetic bunch of simpletons. They may have even been sympathetic to Brown when the story first hit the news, but I really think the security camera shots from inside the convenience store — which told us everything we needed to know about Michael Brown — made a lot of people step back and ask themselves if they even wanted to admit that they had anything in common with that useless thug.
