A third party is a fools errand....we MUST eliminate the Boner, McConnel, types ourselves and take over the party. The elites are not going to go quietly. They are not going to go off an sulk while we carry out our plans, they will fight to their last breath.

The only thing that is going to change this is if the Chamber of Commerce-types are forced to try and live under a few years of hard-left Democrat socialism. Then we will have all kinds of leverage with them if they expect us to show up and save them with our votes.

A third party is a fools errand....

This sentence should be a MUST READ for all Freepers every morning before breakfast.

This fantasy of a third party is indeed a fools errand. We can take over the GOP. If we weren't such a threat to do so we would be ignored instead of attacked.

A third party in a red state like South Carolina is the only way to check the corruption of the representatives. Sad to say, Joe Miller is also one who sold us down the river. And Duncan Hunter!!

That's because the SCGOP is in on the take.

I don't think it would work with the presidency, or maybe it would.

So how is that going? Not too good lately from what I`ve seen! It`s Christmas, we`ll get Santa to pitch in and help defeat them mean`ole GOPe RINOS, that`s the ticket.

Well, I think you are wrong and the 3rd part is the only answer. Haven’t you realized yet, that it is IMPOSSIBLE to change the GOP? Look at what happened in Mississippi. Look at what just happened. The GOP has gone the way of the Whigs, and the sooner we realize it, the better. Let the GOPe have all the money in the world and no base.

“A third party is a fools errand....we MUST eliminate the Boner, McConnel, types ourselves and take over the party.”

And the fastest and surefire way to do that is to vote third party. Not voting for them scares the crap out of them. We’ve been doing what you have suggested since at least 1992. It doesn’t work.

And what are YOU going to do to help facilitate that outcome???

“What are YOU willing to do about it, and, what are YOU prepared to sacrifice to get it done???”

ME???

Glad you asked...

Been a thorn in the side of RiNO’s in this party for 20+ years...I am not well liked, and have opposed political capitulation, lack of virtue, and promoted principled politicians and candidates, measures in that timeframe...As an individual, with a few compadres around the area here have been steadily getting it done...

My guy, TX CD-22’s office took one of my few calls late LAST week, not this week when the attention was paid to it, and told him it was a bad idea, and to resist the leaderships push for you folks down on the batting list to do what the leadership tells you to do...We knew that pressure was coming, and guess what, the goober voted “nay”...

Go figure that...

I hope you had the same success, if you made the same call...But I do not know what YOU did...

It takes more than phone calls and emails sometimes, but in the end access and principled influence, that has credible virtue and reasoning usually works, but you have to spend time working on that and not hit your elected chain of command, only when the media makes a whoop about something...
