My great-great grandfather was shot through the neck fighting in the 95th PA Volunteers at Spotsylvania (Bloody Angle), we have all of his records...fortunately, he survived, lived until his 80’s and left an extensive written record of his service...my grandfather served in WWII, my father served 33 in the military, my son is a peace officer (yes, he’s a cop, so police, but he’s sworn to keep the peace), so no white guilt here...there was a great video of a young black guy imploring the black community to take responsibility for their actions, EXACTLY, stop feeling entitled and start being responsible..
It’s 2014, police protect us, ‘white guilt’ is imposed by idiots like Sharpton, the fact of the matter is the vast majority of Americans (we come in all colors, races and religions) believe in American exceptionalism and strive to put that forth every day...
Unfortunately, the military is run by the latter.
We named our boat Apocalypso. Inevitably we have someone ask what it means. I tell them.....loosely, dancing while the world is on fire. Looks like it was a little prophetic.
