If the murdered cop were my husband and that piece of chit showed up at the church I would stand in the aisle and in a very loud voice order him out of the church.
I’ve had a husband that died and I don’t think that many families understand that they can make the rules. I would do the same as you. Or rather my friends and family would, for me. People are eager to protect the widow’s feelings.
