North Korea goes completely offline: Report
CNBC ^ | 12-22-14 | Everett Rosenfeld

North Korea is having major Internet problems, just days after President Barack Obama promised a proportional response to the devastating hacks against Sony.

The country, which the FBI accused last week of the cyberattack, is suffering a total Internet outage that experts at DYN Research said is out of the ordinary, as first reported by North Korea Tech. According to the research firm, North Korea's Internet connectivity grew steadily worse beginning Sunday night, and then went completely offline Monday morning.

"I haven't seen such a steady beat of routing instability and outages in KP before," Doug Madory, director of Internet analysis at DYN Research, told North Korea Tech. "Usually there are isolated blips, not continuous connectivity problems. I wouldn't be surprised if they are absorbing some sort of attack presently."

Sounds like a diagnostic test to determine the origin of the hacking.

I think you’re right they were flatter...but they were raised to make them taller...rather like kim II wore his hair spiked to increase his height....and he wore lifts in his shoes as well.

His son does this as well...and why his hairstyle is cropped at the sides as it gives an ‘illusion’ of height. As we know N.Korea are specialists at creating illisions.

The N.Korean culture, like most Asian cultures, Japan, S.Korea, China etc. are very sensitive about “appearances” or what might be perceived as unfavorable. But of course for
N.Koreans it’s additional element is fear-based.

It makes more sense for NORKs to have done this. Hypersensitive dictator with a fascination for Hollywood, theater, and celebrities. We see this as an unimportant little film about an unimportant little man. He sees himself being dissed by the great God Hollywood. Remember he kidnapped a famous Asian actress and held her for many years. No, I guess that was his father?

Can’t. Now that Braniff Productions leased the streaming rights to Hulu, the episode is no longer available for free streaming—you now need a Hulu+ subscription.

They do, in fact, have a single satellite link to the world. They also have a single fibre link that terminates in Dandong.

Total bandwidth: 2500 Mbps.

Most DDOS attacks HERE easily exceed 3000 Mbps.

lol A lab at most colleges could kill their links, but their firewalls/routers would kill the IP communications. Would need to be done from multiple sites, unless they are idiots, running primitive gear. lol
