Seventy-nine-year-old Donna Holman had a motion hearing Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk, for a contempt of court charge from her March 11, 2014, arrest at Planned Parenthood in Keokuk.
Mrs. Holman was picketing Planned Parenthood at the time. The contempt charge stems from a 2006 restraining order that was modified ex parte in 2011. The 2011 restraining order was purportedly extended and modified to include all Planned Parenthoods throughout the state of Iowa.
A motion to dismiss presented by her attorney William Monroe of Burlington challenged the restraining order based on overbreadth, vagueness and application.
Planned Parenthood in Keokuk was not incorporated as Planned Parenthood of the Heartland at the time of the incident; it was a separate entity.
Keokuk Planned Parenthood incorporated into Planned Parenthood of the Heartland in June 2014, months after Donna Holman was arrested. Donna Holman is attempting to get the restraining order dismissed in Iowa City in early January.

God has a place reserve for this good lady.
My bro (a Vietnam Vet) has been on the frontlines as a Catholic Pro Life picketer for the last 17 years - ever since he retired from the printing industry. He’s been subjected to horrible abuse from civil authorities and counter-protesters on many occasions. I’m fortunate to have such a great brother. Now that he’s getting older I worry about him some, but he is of better material than I when it comes to being spat on or arrested. I give this lady applause for keeping up with the work of the Lord in the face of the abuses she must suffer.
