My understanding is that we are well overdue for the next cyclical Ice Age, and that man’s cumulative activity over the past several thousand years, including forest-cutting, industrialization, and bovine-ranching, is prolonging its beginning. In that sense, any anthropogenic global warming is a good thing.

Exactly! All one has to do is look at the ice-core records: the relative coolness, flatness, and length of the Holocene interglacial is obvious. In addition to the possible causes you cite, a change in albedo due to the development of agriculture ~8000 years ago is another possibility. I am not sure that we should be jumping all over this guy here - while he is obviously full of it, he has somehow managed to blunder into the truth.

Merry Christmas!

Sorry. It’s mathematically impossible for man to be outputting sufficient gases to affect the balance.

The loonies talk about millions of tons of CO2 as if that is a significant number. It’s not. Not by any stretch. It’s not much more than my raising the level of a full bathtub by spitting into it.

I could dig up the exact numbers later, I’m enjoying a beer at the moment, which takes precedence.
