I agree though I don’t believe that he could have been a positive leader. He was always going to be who he is. A bitter, racist, homosexual, mooslim, marxist. His job, by those that put him in power, was to weaken and / or destroy the US. He has succeeded.

“His job, by those that put him in power, was to weaken and / or destroy the US. He has succeeded.”

Very true. He has also succeeded because McCain, Romney, Boehner, McConnell, the Bush family, etc. have failed to stand up and call him out for who he is and oppose his tyranny with every tool available to them. I am particularly disappointed in the two former President Bushes and as well as potential presidential candidate Jeb Bush. Their absence of leadership, when the nation is in peril, is appalling and their silence indicates approval. I don’t buy the suggestion of Bush surrogates the former Bush presidents remain silent to preserve the dignity of the office. If the current occupant destroys the republic, the office will have no dignity.

Consider the words of Edmund Burke — “The hottest fires in hell are reserved for those who remain neutral in times of moral crisis “

Another Burke quote: “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”
