TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit against a western Indiana school district seeking to force it to recognize a club for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students and those who support them. The lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Terre Haute contends the North Putnam Community School Corp. in Bainbridge, 35 miles west of Indianapolis, is violating the First Amendment rights of the Gay-Straight Alliance and the three students who are now members. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of those students at North Putnam High School — a senior, a junior and a freshman.

Have a bunch of Christians join. If refused membership, sue and demand sensitivity training.
Even better, have Christians join and run for leadership positions. Non Christians have tried this tactic with Christian oriented clubs.

When is Heterosexual Pride Month?
The school should write narrow rules on the clubs that are permitted. For example, clubs could be required to center around a specific academic area (math, science, music, drama etc.) or a specific sport/game (Frisbee, chess, etc.). So long as the rule does not overtly prohibit clubs that celebrate perversion, the ACLU would have no foundation for their frivolous lawsuit. The drama and glee clubs might be disproportionately gay, but the ACLU goal is overt recognition of perversion, and decent people have to deny them that endorsement.

Shouldn’t such decisions regarding public schools be made by the local residents who pay the taxes funding the schools?
What about the First Amendment rights of all the students to freely assembly with people of their ( or parents) choosing ( whether gay or not) ?
Also....Homosexuality and its open expression, or not, can not be managed in a manner that respects every religious worldview.
Fundamentally, compulsory government schooling is schooling imposed by threat of police and court action. The same threat compels citizens to pay for it. Yet,....**ALL** First Amendment rights which include speech, press, assembly, free expression of religion, and freedom of an imposed government religious worldview ( currently godless) are violated in every compulsory attendance government school every school day.
Solution: Begin the process of privatizing all education on every level.
