We conservatives always knew it, but 2014 was the year when the rest of America began to understand. And 2014 was the year that Americans had to choose sides

According to the United States Election Project, in 2012, the total ballots counted in this country was about 129 million. In this latest election--81.6 million. 2010 saw 89 million vs. 2008's 131 million.

This is not a new phenomenon, particularly to those of us on FR. The POTUS election years bring out the so-called LIVs, the "gibsmedats," and the typically better informed folks show up in the congressional election cycles. This trend does not show in any way that "America is waking up" or siding with conservatives. It just means that rock-stupid voters, as much as we like to sneer at them, are a reality and will continue to be influential in presidential election cycles.

2016 may turn out OK for conservatives, but it'll be tight.

Agree Future Snake Eater, conservatives are now a distinct minority in presidential elections thanks to indoctrination centers formerly known as schools, and it will only get worse. Marxists know how to fight, conservatives don’t. Conservatives voting for Repubs are in my opinion voting for the wrong party. I will continue to vote Constitution Party. Wasted vote? Maybe, but at least I sleep well and with a clean conscience.
