UN urges Myanmar to give citizenship to Rohingya Muslims

The U.N. General Assembly approved a resolution Monday urging Myanmar to provide “full citizenship” to its Rohingya Muslim minority and to allow them to move freely throughout the country.

The 1.3 million Rohingyas are denied citizenship under national law and are effectively stateless and have almost no rights. Myanmar authorities want to officially categorize them as “Bengalis,” implying they are illegal migrants from neighboring Bangladesh.

After Myanmar started a transition from dictatorship to democracy in 2011, newfound freedom of expression fanned the flames of hatred against the Rohingyas by the Buddhist majority. Violence by Buddhist mobs left up to 280 people dead—most of them members of the religious minority—and chased another 140,000 from their homes. The Rohingyas now live under apartheid-like conditions in camps or in restricted villages in Rakhine state. …

The UN seems to want world war in every corner of the globe. Wasn’t it set up to prevent such a thing from happening? or so they like to say?

Stateless people are a source of action unaccountable and often mischevious — I agree, somewhere they can learn discipline...

Israel as the first UN creation is the perfect place to nourish and utilize this displaced population!

Thank God the Buddhists have the will to protect themselves against the genocidal mohamicidals!

Maybe they will be a lesson for the rest of humanity to not put up with evil incarnate!

The UN kow tows to its Turd World masters. The presumption of puffed-up bureaucrats is as unlimited as the natural human passion for believing in one's own BS.

These Muslims are Bengalis, if what I've studied about this quiet invasion, and their presence is not welcome nor has it gone unnoticed by that nation's Buddhists.

This is as much a front in the present World War as it was in the war against Imperial Japan. The Hindu and Buddhist are sandwiched by Dar al Islam, and they know it well. It's not just integral to their national history, it's not even history, yet.

the Burmese and the Siamese have their own issues .... due mainly to popular movies and the visible reminders of the defaced Buddhas ( by Burmese ) in old Thai Wat , the Thai will never forget how easy it is/was for the Burmese to set aside their traditional ‘buddhism’ and come as killers , pillagers and enslavers . Maybe the muzlim invaders an the Burmese karmically deserve one another ?
