Scalise should step down from GOP leadership (Chicago Trib wants Resignation!)

ep. Steve Scalise, R-La., the third-ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives, says he made an innocent mistake in speaking to a white supremacist conference in 2002. How was he to know that the European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO) was a collection of racists and neo-Nazis?.

"For anyone to suggest that I was involved with a group like that is insulting and ludicrous," says Scalise, who was a state representative at the time. "I spoke to any group that called, and there were a lot of groups calling." Why, he even spoke to the League of Women Voters, even though its "a pretty liberal group." Scalise says he lacked the staff to vet organizations like EURO and "was without the advantages of a tool like Google" because "those tools weren't available back then."

Tuesday, Speaker John Boehner admitted Scalise "made an error in judgment, and he was right to acknowledge it was wrong and inappropriate." But Boehner said he "has my full confidence as our whip" and would remain in that position.

Don't forget Fred Phelps (Westboro Baptist Church) ran for office as a Democrat and was a local operative in Al Gores 1988 presidential campaign.

If Boneless likes him, I don’t!

So lets all join the democrats in their old tried and true tactics of forcing the GOP to their will?

Brilliant!

They should be demanding that the overtly racist Congressional Black Caucus disband.

Good grief. Liberals are not only hanging out with black, Hispanic and Asian racists, they are teaching them the hate whitey doctrines.

They should ask the liberals why they are hanging out with laRaza.

The enemy of our enemy is our friend. Scalise and Boehner are at war with the conservative branch of Republican party. Both are removing from committees anyone that challenges their go along, get along policy on amnesty and Obamacare. If it removes an ally and weakens Boehner and makes room for a real conservatives, I say cheer the Democrats on.

Remove him from the leadership position and let his voters deal with him.

An alliance with the democrats is worse than anything Scalise has done.

“Start picking out some of their hypocrisy and hold press conferences demanding that the democRATS resign for things they did years ago. There a plenty of examples.”

Examples:
1) Obama attending Reverand Wright’s church
2) Obama attending Farrakhan’s Million Man March
3) Holder allowing Black Panthers to intimidate white voters in Philly
4) Obama speaking at New Black Panther rally in 2007
5) Al Sharpton’s association with Obama
6) Obama’s book - comments about his white grandmother

Or maybe whites in Congress should just form the Congressional WHITE Caucus and see what the CBC says to that. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

They are a bunch of racist hypocrites.

I agree with you. However, I am so pissed a the GOP Leadership right now, I must admit I'm enjoying seeing the MO FOs, in the GOP Leadership, squirm. I just wish to goodness it was John Boehner on the hot seat instead the 3rd top-ranking GOP dude. Yep, I'm enjoying it. Let him step down and let's get a Conservative in as Majority Whip.
