Having lights and a siren isn’t carte blanche because nobody gets out of your way. Most people have their heads so far up their butts when they are driving that lights and a siren don’t even buy you 10 mph faster than traffic.
Your “guess” adds nothing. The article did not provide the facts, but speculating against the officer does nothing to clarify.
Slightly over-generalized. Not one officer drives safely? Your prejudice is showing.
Indictments against officers are extremely rare by prosectutors .
(I think) it’s probably based on something.

“The truth is, emergency vehicles must obey all traffic lights and sirens are only to alert people to get out of your way, but you does not give you the right to speed, run stop signs, or red lights.”
Actually, it does. I believe all States have exceptions for emergency vehicles.
In Medford, OR, I observed dozens of police driving. Not once did one ever drive a city block without speeding, failing to use his turn signal, cut people off, fully stop at a stop sign etc.
Not once.
I kept track.
It was amazing.
Still doesn’t mean LE or EMS can be reckless
Give him a chance to answer. He’s probably on another thread complaining that it authorities take too long to respond to 911 calls.
It has been a long time since I was a EMT (about 45 years so laws may have changed). I did find this reference to emergency vehicles “Often emergency vehicles are permitted by law to break conventional road rules in order to reach their destinations in the fastest possible time, such as (but not limited to) driving through an intersection when the traffic light is red, or exceeding the speed limit. In some states, however, the driver of an emergency vehicle can still be sued if the driver shows reckless disregard for the safety of others”
