I’m standing by to support a new party if Romney succeeds.
With the House and the Senate out of Democrat hands, we are comfortably positioned. IMHO, this would be a fine opportunity to send a message to the GOP if they think they’re going to ram another RINO down our throats. There’s no way I’m voting for Romney, or Bush, or Christie.
As a matter of principle, I would much prefer Ted Cruz to Mitt Romney.
As a matter of practicality, however, I seriously doubt that Cruz could win the general election--there are just too many centrists who would consider him an "extremist"--so Romney might be the better choice, if defeating Hillary is the overriding objective...
The grand old party is no longer the party of limited government, conservative principals.
I submit, it is time for a conservative party with the platform we expect.
Scale back the size and scope of government, abolish the IRS / restructure the tax code (simple/fair-r-r). Slash regulation, dramatically cut the budgets of the EPA, TSA, DHS, ABC and LMNOP....slash’m.
“Im standing by to support a new party if Romney succeeds.”
You and me, both.
As much as I think a third (new) party is shear craziness, I believe I would be on board if Romney is nominated. So call me crazy!
