LOL! My daughter and son-in-law got DISH last year and they were watching one of those channels. They didn’t know it was a homo oriented channel. They thought it was weird that every movie and show had homos and the ads were that way too. My daughter mentioned it to me and I told her all about it. They have since set their TV Box to exclude those channels.......................
My wife set us up with Xfinity X1 service which replaced our old set top DVR box. I hate it. One of the new 'improvements' is that they make it very difficult to block stuff like that. It's possible but you have to go through a process that takes way too much effort as apposed to the old way.
They also have eliminated the one-button press Favorites access....thereby keeping you from easily skipping over Bravo, Logo, OWN, Oxygen, Lifetime, etc, etc. You have to go deep into a menu driven selection process to make a Favorites list and accessing it is just as kludgey. No more one button press to scroll through your Favorites.
As I said, I hate it. I could list 10 other things about X1 that suck. But I can't switch back as Comcast refuses saying everyone will be switched over eventually.
