As mentioned in related threads, and with all due respect to mom & pop, as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught about the federal governments constitutionally limited powers as the Founding States had intended for those powers to be understood, state leaders are probably clueless about arguing the following point against Obamas constitutionally indefensible actions concerning immigration.
Simpy put, and PC interpretations of both the Constitutions Uniform Rule of Naturalization (1.8.4) and the slavery clause (1.9.1) aside, the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate immigration, immigration uniquely a 10th Amendment-protected state power issue. So Obama actually has no constitutionally defensible federal immigration laws to pardon imo.
Perry came out with the 10th Amendment defense a few years back. Then he got indicted by a democrat DA in a blue part of Texas. As his last act as governor he should have called for secession.
