So, as long as a group of people agree, it is ok to call anything a “marriage”?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Governors and state AGs should disregard all federal rulings until SCOTUS rules on the matter.

Well, it’s getting personal now, since it’s reaching my home state. In a way, ‘two’ home states of mine.

I would have preferred seeing America overrun and destroyed by either Nazis or Soviets than to have it end this way, actively embracing such degeneracy and evil.

Article 3 Section 2 US Constitution:
In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make

Tell the court to go pound sand, File Criminal Charges, issue a Governors Warrant for Extradition, Begin Civil Asset Forfeiture proceedings. The only thing that can save them is a Presidential Pardon!!

and questioning why states wanting to incentivize procreation would allow sterile opposite-sex couples but not same-sex couples to marry.

It is a mercy shown to them by civil society and a recognition by the state that procreation is in God's hands and not man's.

Our society is suffused with a religion which believes that a very old Abraham and Sarah could have children if God so decided, and as a result of these long held beliefs by our society, our legal structure reflects that recognition of God's power over such matters.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? Lk. 1.37 At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

*THAT* is why you Arrogant and Stupid B@stards.

noting a "sea change" on opinion over gay rights....

Judge, if there is SUCH a sea change, then YOUR interference isn't needed.

In fact, the BULK of sea change has come NOT from voters but from judicial and political ELITES.

States control the issue of licences for many things, including marriage; not the Fed Gov’t.

Some States require a blood test and some require a waiting period.

The Fed Gov’t. and judges are way out of line, IMO, when they try to dictate matters such as education and marriage.
