I don’t see anything changing. It’s only window dressing, Bohner is what he is.

Good post. Many prefer tilting at windmills. More gratifying for the short term I guess.

McDaniel would have been an awesome Senator.

Yes, he would have. I'm hoping we haven't seen the last of him.

We have a pretty conservative House. The Senate is much more conservative than it was in 2008. We should count our blessings and get back to work on the 2016 election.

Conservative House? LOL. That “conservative” House just supported the Obama-Boehner cromnibus amnesty quid pro quo and reelected Boehner easily.

That Speaker vote was all show. Just a little red meat for the base. Ted Yoho and his clown car never had a serious chance to remove Boehner.

...surprised many on Friday by embracing a major immigration plan that's more stringent and conservative than lawmakers had expected. It not only would block President Barack Obama's recent limits on deportations, but also undo earlier protections for immigrants brought to the country illegally as children.
No reasonable person was surprised. Saying this is the result of the efforts of 'rebels' is like attributing Reagan's success in nuclear arms reductions with the USSR to peace advocates in the Demagogic Party.

Next vote for Speaker will go to the conservatives if they don’t lie down and pay dead.

OK. Let's just put Nancy back in charge. What's the diff?

Count your blessings. It could be a lot worse. And you will never get every Republican to vote the way we like them to here. Not Going To Happen. We need to get over the budget issue. It is a done deal until next October.

Except for that little item call IMMIGRATION. The budget discussions for that are going to be a big deal within a month or two. Let's see how we do.
