President Barack Obama has a reputation for being level-headed -- something that he's apparently able to do even under the most, er, flustering of circumstances.
According to a copy of a memoir by former Obama aide Reggie Love that was obtained by The Washington Post, Obama walked in on Love while a college friend was spending the night in his hotel room during a 2007 campaign stop.
Here's Love's description of the incident, via the Post:

Reggie Love, getting his love on, allegedly with a girl. Obama knocks once and barges in, sees the girl, apologizes and leaves.
Reggie tells the guy, oh... I mean "girl"... that a Senator (swoon!) just walked in on them.
They skip the part where Obama's crying in the hall and Reggie tries to explain himself, and Obama throws an ashtray at his head, then beats down his heartbreak with cocaine and weed and bathhouse flings, until Reggie writes him a poem of apology and shows up with flowers.
The Fluffington Post crowd is all atwitter with how wonderful Obama is as revealed by this goofy made up story. Seriously, they are impressed by this for some reason.

No, it’s more like old female college chum crashes in Love’s room in the hotel. He thinks it so worth the idea to give the impression that she was a girlfriend that he spills the beans on Barry being used to walking into Love’s room, unannounced, at all hours.
Pure fiction.
Was the gay love interest in this triangle Larry Sinclair? Would explain a lot.

And FWIW, Barry isn’t level-headed, he is psychotically detached.

Interesting that the hotel room wasn’t locked. I mean if your having sex with a woman in a room wouldn’t that be something you would do? Maybe Obama had a key card to Reggie’s room.
Reggie is a former aide? I thought he was still around.
