Obama targets oil and gas industry, demands massive reduction in methane emissions
Washington Times ^

Taking direct aim at the oil-and-gas industry, President Obama on Wednesday put forth long-awaited regulations on methane emissions, setting an ambitious goal of reducing those emissions by 45 percent over the next decade and again drawing the ire of many in the energy industry.

The move comes just days before the State of the Union address and underscores that, in the final two years of presidency, Mr. Obama is looking to cement his legacy on climate-change and environmental issues.

TRANSLATION: the middle eastern potentates have threatened his ass to destroy the new oil industry in America, as it’s sucking all of the wind out of OPEC.

Now everyone will see what “climate control” is really all about.

Bummer. Guess I’ll never have another steak since cattle expel lots of methane. Wonder when the methane police will be at my door...not that I do such a thing. I loss my farts in a boating accident.

Since the Saudis, in cahoots with U.S. communists, are most likely the ones who got him into Harvard Law, paid for his time there, and made sure he got onto the Harvard Law Review, there’s little doubt that’s exactly why he’s trying to kill the U.S. oil and gas industry.

I have a solution for all the extra methane - get butt plugs for Obama and Al Gore, before they demand we get them fixed to every cow. People who have to live under their own rules soon abandon them.

Obama is working to add to the break even costs of American domestic oil production to help the Saudis bust the renaissance in the US oil production.

Low oil prices are a huge boost the US economy, but the Saudis have a past history of using their position as a de facto cartel to to dump oil onto the American market with the express purpose of destroying our domestic production capability.

Oil is a strategic commodity and we have learned that it can be used as a weapon against our county.

I hate tariffs, but is the Saudis continue dumping to drive down the cost of oil to shut down our domestic production, we should slap in import tariff on imported oil that is used to continue development of our domestic production capacity.

Regarding Obama’s methane emission regulations, please consider the following. As mentioned in related threads, note that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate intrastate environmental issues.

But even if the states had done so, Constitution “expert” Obama is wrongly ignoring that the Founding States had made the first numbered clauses in the Constitution, Sections 1-3 of Article I, to clarify that all federal legislative / regulatory powers are vested in the elected members of Congress, not in the executive or judicial branches. So even if the states had constitutionally delegated to Congress the specific power to regulate intrastate environmental issues, it remains that Congress cannot constitutionally delegate such powers to lawless Obama.

He could cut the amount of methane in the air by simply shutting-up. He talks out of his ass all time. That has to contribute a lot of methane to the enviroment. Come to think of it, most liberals could do the same.

No, nothing quite so sinister

The enviro wackos are at the root and incontrol of the EPA. Their aim in life is no emissions of any thing any where, any time

They will not sleep until there is absolute pristine purity

What America needs is to be cleansed of envirowacko moonbats
