Georgia State University students will have the option of selecting roommates of a different gender in the fall.

The school plans to begin offering that housing option in all of its residence halls. Students wanting this type of housing arrangement have to notify housing officials of their preference when applying for housing assignments. . . .

Georgia State’s move to offer the new housing option comes after requests by siblings, opposite-sex friends and LGBT students wanting to live together, college officials said

This disappeared after I posted it earlier. Not sure why. It seems to me important because it illustrates how the Left uses tax dollars (in this case, heavily subsidized university housing) to impose its own sense of morality on our young people. In this case, if you see a problem with recreating the Harrad Experiment in downtown Atlanta, then you're not being "gender inclusive."

I guess it beats having to provide 53 different categories of dorms (or however many “gender identification categories” Facebook has invented).

Decades ago,,it was simply considered common sense to have a guys dorm and a girls dorm. Nowadays, such reasoning is considered to be discrimination by the liberals who run colleges.

Unbelievable world we live in today. If you object to something like this you are considered to be bigoted and hateful and all that. Plus you just aren’t with it.

It’s called creating problems that only they (or more accurately, more government programs) can fix.

What a moronic move by school officials.

Actually, GSU gets almost all its money from the GA General Assembly—which, I hope, will give some attention to this “in your face” gesture of contempt for the values of the electorate.
