To prohibit some very useful and effective pharmaceutical products, in permissible quantity and confined to use only for the condition it is designated to treat, would be a self-defeating action, if the intention is to either restore the individual to an able-bodied status, or to relieve long-term chronic conditions.

Me too. The general trend has been to loosen laws or enforcement upon the users of illegal drugs, while making it tougher on those who need and acquire their drugs legally.
