I read the book.
Kyle definitely had serious problems in his personal life.
And he was exactly the kind of guy you wanted defending your country.
War truly is hell, and his problems were not unique.
RIP and screw Bill Maher.

If you haven't read Unbroken, I highly recommend it from the standpoint of reading about what the human spirit can endure, but what the toll of all that damage can be. It isn't an amazingly well written book, but the story and research are still great.

The story of Chris Kyle isn't about what an amazing shot he was, or even that he had that many confirmed kills. The story is about what he was willing to endure for his peers and his country.
