I'm not sure whether he is a Communist fronting off as a Moo to keep the long-running Soviet-Arab-Nationalist gig going (the Sovs were sponsors of both Syria's and Iraq's Ba'athists, and the Nasserites of Egypt, including Anwar Sadat, until the CIA showed him what the KGB had in store for him and Egypt as a fully-digested Soviet satellite), or whether he is a Islamo-America-Hater who plays to the Sovs and American Communists because that's his educational background, and because in the wider world, Arabs and Soviets played footsie all over the world (just like some Arabs did with the Nazis before that).
I think the last time I joined in with FReepers considering that thesis divergence, I was with the people who said, no, the Moslem thing is a put-on, he's really a Communist (and probably atheist-instrumentalist).

That's pretty much my position. I think he was raised a Muslim. I think he was raised an anti-colonialist. I think he hates Jews and Christians because Allah tells him he should. I think he hates the West because the West oppressed dark-skinned people around the world. I think he has common cause with communists because communists seek an economic revolution which puts the down-trodden on top and tramples down the mighty.
And I think he is a narcissistic sociopath.
