There have been 4 investigations. Israel has paid reparations and has released pilot tapes. The only people hiding information are in the NSA, which ordered the Liberty unescorted into a war zone knowing that the Johnson administration had promised the Israelis to keep ships west of Cyrpus, when they refused Israel's request for a naval liaison.

Israel purposely attacked what it thought was a Soviet or Egyptian intel ship.
