I put off reading Steven Brills new book, America's Bitter Pill, for much the same reason I procrastinate when its time to clean the gutters on my house. I was sure it would be a boring chore that would leave me yearning for a shower. A previous encounter with this writers work in a 2013 edition of Time suggested that this tome would contain a catalogue of canards about U.S. health care, a tendentious account of the tawdry political process that produced Obamacare, and some hare-brained theory on how to fix our medical delivery system once and for all. My forebodings were well-founded.

Has he priced the cost of a funeral/burial lately???
Obamacare sucks, it was rushed through the Legislature and sold on a lie and pork. The President has retroactively altered it by executive decree.
It was not ready for prime time, it was not sound policy, and those who questioned the authority of those saying “pass it so we can find out what is in it” are NOT the bad guys.
If Obamacare is so wun’erful, why keep moving the goalposts?
It isn’t the Republicans doing that.
This is the same president who has more people on food stamps than ever before (upwards of 40% if I recall) and boasts of his wun’erful economy.
This dumb bastard communist prick should have died and spared the world.
I won't ever read another article written by this dope.
Stephen Brill? I haven’t heard that name for over a decade, when “Brill’s Content” was released with much fanfare and landed with a thud. I guess he’s like that snobby British chick who fails at everything she tries stateside, she won’t go away either.

.... at least until the time comes when Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia.

Decent people saw Orwell's classic novel as a warning. The democrats adopted it as a training manual.
