Obviously, Muslims live by the Quran. And in so doing, they either violently object to any plea for non-violence, or some sit in silent protest (taqiyya). I doubt that praying for the whole lot of them to convert to peace and Christianity is the answer. It “ain’t” gonna happen. Therefore, there is only one way to deal with them.
I'm afraid you are right about that. At some point you have to decide whether your culture is worth fighting for or not.
Watch the French. Are the people of France ready to give up French culture? Right now I would say the evidence is that they are. In the longer run I wonder. I doubt it.
A few months ago there was an insert in our church bulletin stating that as there are more Somalians in Minnesota than anywhere in the world other than Somalia, we have an incredible mission opportunity right here.
I have mixed feelings about it. Our pastor has a jail ministry and has spent so much time evangelizing one muslim inmate(now out of jail) that they are friends. Our pastor is sure the muslim is close to accepting Christ as savior. How can we know the muslim is being honest in his dealings with our pastor? Same with a friend of mine whose husband has a Somalian working in the same office. They are reaching out to the co-worker and his family, learning Somalian and hoping to lead them to Christ. It’s possible, I know, but I have strong doubts.
