In what must be a record, two police officers who had just finished taking their oaths of office as new hires for the police department, left the meeting and were shot but not seriously injured by the gunman, then a third officer still in the meeting ordered everyone to take cover, then shot the perp.
“Geez, I hadn’t even gone on my first patrol when I got shot!”

You can see the
raw video of the city council meeting when they heard gunfire. Apparently, a member of the police force is on city council and he drew his pistol to protect the people in the room. The full video is under Related Content in the right margin. Yes, there is some cursing. Not as much as American Sniper, though.
