You make an excellent point regarding the appropriateness of the colors she chose to wear. For a funeral, something a good bit less colorful would have been much better.
I was just happy to see her refusing to wear some lame head covering in order to appease the muslim lunatics. By no means did I intend to imply that I might be supporting her in some leftist “statement in support of women”. I would hope that ANY American woman would act as she did regarding head coverings, veils, etc.
As for her angry expression? It appears that is her normal look.

regardless of their backward laws she is the first lady and should respect their traditions and culture, and not to go and act like a brat to them.
This is the first time I’ve ever approved of anything she’s done. She also looks like she didn’t comb her hair for the occasion.

Regardless of how we feel about them the fact is that she is the first lady going to another country and should show respect for their culture just as we want people to come here and show respect.

I don’t know...I just have a hard time with the idea of me giving a curtsy to anyone. I would not expect anyone to curtsy me. If we curtsied each other, that would be ok.
Funny. On another subject. I worked in prison one time in past and an inmate refused to shake my hand because I was female. He was Muslim and the man that was with me got so mad because of that. All this occurred before 911, before I knew any thing about Islam.
I have a different theory. I think Moochell wanted to wear the scarf. She/he wants to be accepted as a Muslim wife. But the Saudis probably know that s/he is not... err... qualified to wear the female head gear.

American women have had problems with the curtsy. Barbra Streisand asked Queen Elizabeth why it was expected. Liz was puzzled and said “Well, I guess because it’s always done!”
I hate how the Saudi’s live but she is representing this country and should show respect regardless of how we feel.
