However, security officials expressed unawareness about the detention of Rauf, who became a recruiter for the IS group in Afghanistan after falling out with the Taliban. Rauf, a former Guantanamo Bay detainee, was a military commander in Herat and Kabul during Taliban’s regime.
He recently joined the IS, a jihadi group which controls large swaths of land in Iraq and Syria, and has been leading hundreds of masked gunmen in northern districts of Helmand.
A Taliban commander in Helmand, wishing anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News they disarmed Rauf and his 45 gunmen and detained them on Wednesday in compliance with directives from the Taliban’s governor for Helmand, Mullah Abdul Rahim Akhund.
He said the men were in their custody and their fate would be decided by Taliban religious leaders and judges.

What’s even more amazing is how long is Congress going to allow this administration which is clearly an enemy of the United States remain in power? This is beyond the beyond in insanity, during time of war we have the freakin’ enemy running the country no different than if the Nazis were running it during WW2. How many more billion tons of evidence does Congress need? It tells me not only do we have the enemy running the WH but Congress as well. All of them should be removed ASAP and each one tried for treason. The code is VERY clear when it comes to treason, and these mofos do it every single day. “Adheres to their enemies” Everyday it seems the citizens are going to have to rise up and take it back. Just get a few million armed and ready to march on Washington and forcibly remove the mofos, enough is enough.

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
