Iraqi interpreter defends Chris Kyle against MSNBC racism charge

‘People should be respecting and honoring him’

An Iraqi Muslim interpreter for Chris Kyle spoke out against claims by MSNBC foreign correspondent Ayman Moheldin that the "American Sniper" was a racist and went on "killing sprees," sharing his own experiences with Mr. Kyle whom he considered a dear friend.

In comments published Friday in IJReview, the interpreter, known by his codename Johnny Walker, said that Kyle was not a racist. He told reporters that Kyle had treated him like a brother in arms, sharing meals, talking about families and trusting him with his life.

"If you're going to call Chris Kyle a racist, then call me a racist too," Mr. Walker said, IJReview reported. "At times we were on the base, Kyle would laugh with the other Iraqi soldiers and joke with them. Again, why would a racist engage in that behavior?"

Mr. Walker said that when he attended one of Kyle embraced him at one of his book signings in La Jolla, Calif. After seeing him for the first time in several years, and said that Kyle credited him as an American hero during a speech at the event.

MSNBC is not qualified kiss someone’s much less call Kyle a racist or challenge the interpreter. People who prostitute themselves by working at that network are the worst of us..

Liberals are losing what small amount of brain matter they have over this movie and Kyle’s remarkable story of service and heroism. They can’t stand to see a true American hero. The can’t stand the fact that this film is breaking box office records. They are creating a society forever beholden to a nanny state. Kyle’s story of individual heroism doesn’t fit in with their teachings.

MSNBC is not qualified kiss someone’s

It appears that you inadvertently left out the "a-" word.

In any case, I would argue that MSNBC is ABSOLUTELY qualified to kiss someone's a**.

You couldn’t be more right, they can’t handle the thought of a military hero being praised by millions or of a movie about him going off the charts.

Muslims watching the movie in Iraq were cheering for Kyle ... there’s complexity in the world... The only group we can say for sure is horrible beyond words is MSNBC... they should know better.

Watching MSNBC is like watching Real Housewives of Atlanta.

It’s crazy, unsettling and offers an insight into irrationality.

The rest of us are comfortable without that kind of daily anger and rancor.

Let’s see, obviously the Crew Members of the Enola Gay were Racists, as was my Father who served in the South Pacific in WWII. It had nothing to do with being attacked by Japan.

Was FDR a Racist for imprisoning American Citizens of Japanese decent during the war? Hmmmmm...

I think the tampon earring lady epitomizes that network. Far left loons that are oblivious to the type of folks they champion, defend or display. The network has got to be hemoragging money, so someone is propping them up. It would be nice to know who it is..

It’s a sad day when a foreigner is having to defend the American military from its own citizens. This contempt being shown Chris Kyle, or course, has roots in the anti-US 60’s, but more recently, in the shameful words of scum like John Murtha and John Kerry, who likened our heroes to rapists and terrorists.

Murtha got his reward; waiting for Kerry to get the same.

Even Morning Joe called out the former Al-Jazeera, now MSNBC, reporter who made the “killing spree” comment. He didn’t call him very hard, but at least he said something. The reporter should be fired immediately.
