If I take the most lenient view of God's justice that I can imagine, I would say that even after death, a sinner may have a last chance to repent and accept Jesus as their savior. Perhaps -- just perhaps -- that would be enough for salvation. By that tremendously lenient standard, a lot of bad people might actually avoid Hell.
But Stephen Fry will not.
I believe that CS Lewis theorized that God made Hell out of mercy -- Hell is a place where God is not. If there are people who deeply, thoroughly, do not want to be in His presence, then God is loving enough to create just such a place.
Actually, there will be “The Final Harvest” where many hundreds of thousands will take that one last chance and be able to enter into heaven.
“It’s GOD’s desire that NONE should perish.”
However, the CHOICE IS UP TO YOU.
