Watch for this issue to escalate! It will pit faith based Americans versus their countrymen, conservative and liberal. This conversation is moving beyond the boundaries of private practice into the government, Local/State/Federal/Military who have for some time mandated vaccinations/shots that they have created.
I would never tell parents not to have kids get their shots, however are you so sure to put your family's health in the hands of a government committed to population control (where 1/60 children are autistic after vaccinations)? Diseases have always coexisted with humans. If vaccinations are so indispensable, how did our faith based forefathers survive?
As a Bible Believing Born Again Christian (not Christian Scientist). I seek medical care and have nothing against the medical practice in general, but we always try to pray first before going to the hospital. We would consider vaccination for a healthy older child, however for the babies, we have to protect them from outside toxins. If people don't like it, no problem, we never asked for their opinion and I will continue to use my doctor who feels the same way we do about vaccinations. But as a parent with many children, some of them grown, none of them have had vaccinations. To this date, all have been perfectly healthy without Big Government/Big Pharma.

0bama has been wrong on every single issue. What more proof do you need not to get your kids or yourself vaccinated?
I’m sorry, I have to disagree with your policy as a parent and as a citizen. You owe it to your kids to weight the health risks, and there is also (especially in densely populated areas) the issue of public health.
Properly researched and vetted vaccines are a “good” thing. That doesn’t guarantee that corruption hasn’t occurred, and that some vaccines aren’t what they are cracked up to be. I don’t think there’s much doubt that polio vaccination, and in the old days, smallpox vaccination, were a good thing.
Of course, once a disease is nearly eliminated, the weighting of likely harm to the child (and those around him) from the disease versus harm from the vaccine changes, and I can understand why some parents don’t want to vaccinate.
My opinion, of course... do what you think is best.
I’m not a kid and have just retired from the military in 2013. Since retiring I have not received any shots whatsoever. No vaccinations to include flu shot.
I have been sick only once since retirement. I will not get any more shots unless travel to a foreign country requires it.
A pity he cannot urge his peeps to tell their kids to ‘pull up their pants,’ and behave in school and on the streets.

The recent measles incident at Disneyland was interesting. One of the guests brought it to the park and spread it. Measles can be pretty nasty and we are counting our blessing that everyone in my family got the shots.

I thought that it has been proven to be a “myth” that vacines cause autism.
Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Small Pox, TB; have been proven to be effective, all of these diseases have been for the most part eradicated in the U.S., it is coming back because of illegal immigration, we urgently need a vaccine against it.
It was at the Super Bowl. This could get interesting.

Excellent point. If these vaccines are so safe why did the pharma industry spend so much time and money lobbying the GOP to give them total blanket immunity against ANY lawsuits?

I personally know about 5 families who had perfectly healthy blue-eyed babies until their two year shots. Now, they have autistic children who suffer neurological problems. I trust very little so-called government facts (i.e. climate change, shovel ready jobs, abortion, etc.)
