Boston & NYC have transportation systems with century old components. There is no money to fix the infrastructure, but always enough for new social programs.

She should move out of her socialist state, that’s what some here would say if it was California.

But you can bet the hack-o-rama infrastructure has all salaries, benefits and pensions fully funded.

Baloney. There’s PLENTY of money for infrastructure improvements, but it gets blown in the corrupt spoils system/unionized and bureaucratic thievery/political graft of Massachusetts liberalism.

State environmental officials are letting cities and towns dump snow into the ocean, which is usually banned because snow has many pollutants.
Where do they think it goes when it melts? Liberal idiocy has no bounds.
To: Second Amendment First
Perhaps the neo pagans in Boston can bring in high priest Algore. He can chant and beat his drum and the snow would all melt by June.

I can just picture those T employees sitting around on the clock, laughing at this situation, counting the days until their pensions kick in.
The entire transportation system in Massachusetts is rotten to the core. They spend billions with no means to pay other than relying on perennial bail outs by the legislature.
You have to kill somebody to lose your job and then only after a long process involving arbitration. The pensions are incredible and of course unsustainable.

What person in their right mind would want to get out in 6 feet of snow.
What employer would expect that from his employee?

They should have used the initial hole created by the Big Dig as a repository for extreme snowfalls - problem solved and at only a fraction of the costs it finally ran up.
