I think this needs a hash tag, #Blackcheatersmatter.
Its raciss to call black cheaters, cheaters.
Racist, of course, they pull the race card when they were found guilty of cheating. *sigh* So damn sick of that stuff.
These people like Victor Henderson are like the dog chasing the car, if he catches it, he is not going to like the results.
Go ahead, investigate other LLs, I can tell you right now who the other guilty teams are. They will come from districts similar in demographics as the Jackie Robinson West district. You see Victor Henderson needs more cultural education, especially about White people. He does not get that this could not happen in a White district, due to our culture. What I mean is, in the White district, if the LL coach brought in ringers to replace other white kids from the district, the white parents of the displaced white kids would have an army of lawyers suing the league before the could even start practicing. A white coach in a white district wouldn’t last a day if he tried to pull this off.
“’I want to make sure that whatever rules and regulations applied to Jackie Robinson West were applied to every other team,’ the lawyer, Victor Henderson, said at a news conference.”
JRW’s championship should be stripped of them, regardless of other potential bad behavior in the league. JRW clearly cheated, and should pay the price.
That said, I actually don’t have a problem with checking out the other teams were playing it straight. Having volunteered in several youth sports leagues over the years, I’ve seen the ringer/outside talent crud pulled on more than one occasion by more than one rival coach/team. What JRW did was wrong, but if there are other teams doing the same thing, they should be punished, too.
Of course, I realize this guy probably isn’t interested in seeing other teams punished so much as finding an excuse to force the league to maintain the cheating JRW team as champions. And probably also to raise further racial claims and possibly lawsuits.
Did the players not understand they were playing for a team they did not belong to?
This is a joke right?
Of course they knew.
It was a rhetorical question to a suspect comment.
I suspected as much.
Dis be Racis”!!
I believe West Virginia was also suspicious.
Yes, my parents talked about the walking around money that the Kennedy machine brought into the state to get him elected. They were life long Republicans.
The ....cough...lawyer...told on his clients guilt with his demanding all the other teams should be checked too since his clients got caught.
The loser in all this is the kids.
Its a damn shame what youth sports has morphed into.
I can say that when the team from Cobb county Georgia won it...not only did they display incredible sportsmanship to the losing Japanese team...I know for a fact that organization goes out of its way to do everything by the book....to the letter.
Have they checked to make sure the baseballs were inflated correctly?
Mr. Jackie Chiles, Esq., for the plaintiffs.
Noticed that something is missing from that photo - I can’t seem to find Brian Williams anywhere in it.
I want to make sure that whatever rules and regulations applied to Jackie Robinson West were applied to every other team,” the lawyer, Victor Henderson, said at a news conference.
the misery these adults bestowed on these young adults is now looking for company, “see they did it so what we did is ok”
