Don’t kid yourself. Every kid on that “all-star” team knows which other teammates are the ‘hired guns’ they’ve been playing against & with eachother for up to 4 years. There’s a pecking order. Probably a few disgruntled because they are “sitting” or went unselected so that a suburban kid could play.
They know its wrong. The adults made it happen. But the kids knew.
I’d also be looking at how this little cabal got started. Guessing that there’s a soocial common denominator (a church perhaps?). Perhaps this is why Jesse Jackson is out there laying down smoke?
