The Border Patrol Continues to Act as if a Federal Judge Hadn’t Just Blocked Obama’s Amnesty
National Review ^ | 2/20/15 | Ryan Lovelace

While a federal judge’s injunction has halted the implementation of President Obama’s sweeping executive actions from November, it appears U.S. Customs and Border Protection never got the news.

Why because it's a conservative site?

There is no malware on National Review. That's nonsense.

The Sultan is ignoring the courts. At some point when it becomes convenient he will openly defy the courts. He doesn’t have to defy Congress because the Senate is still run by his minion Reid and the House has Boehner.

“My virus software flags them as well. NR has malware problems!”

A disruptor can just falsely report problems from a site, and others will be alerted of potential problems.

Some security software will give you a warning notice, if you try to go to a website that is on their list of problem sites.

An easy attack on a site, is to report that site to the software company, to get it automatically added to their list of risky sites. The company will automatically warn everyone, until they can get around to checking out the complaint. So the attacker can just frequently make false reports, to sabotage a site that they don’t like.

So just because you get a warning from your security software, it does not necessarily mean that there is a real threat - it could be leftie vandals trying to disrupt their political enemies.

I don’t know the last time you read NRO but it hasn’t been conservative for a long time.....

My virus software listed the threat as the site was infected with adobe flash malware.

It doesn’t sound like something they haven’t checked out. If it was liberals playing games they would be picking websites far more conservative than NRO.

Well, safety first.

I just mention that possibility for general awareness. The Chinese have often done this to sites of their political opponents, such as Tibetan Buddhists and Falun Gong. It is something that an unsophisticated attacker can do.

The companies that provide security software no doubt have been adapting to this kind of attack, to make it harder to submit false alarms.

Sophisticated attackers can use real malware to attack or track visitors to the sites they target.

Anyhow, it was just a chatty offhand comment, nothing definitive or authoritative.
