As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is putting the ban on 5.56mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.

We are being pushed toward another revolution and that’s what Obama wants so he can declare martial law and take over as dictator, cancelling any elections...Congress will not stop this traitor....
Widener’s still had Israeli 5.56 in 1200 round cases for around 550 a couple of days ago ...
Ban one, no reason not to ban them all.
This is what happens when Congress unconstitutionally gives government agencies (controlled by the president) the power to make rules with the weight of law.

With all due respect, its not so slow anymore. He senses weakness in the congress and is putting the pedal to the mettle. We are on the precipice of becoming a dictatorship.
So what is your excuse for 2014? Seems we loaded up Congress, but what is that getting us?
According to the article, any rifle caliber that can be used in a handgun form (i.e. AR-15 handgun platform) will be banned. This would include 5.56, .223, and could possibly include larger calibers such as .308. Of course, the admin is keeping the specifics secret.
Paul Bedard, I’m on your side but you are bs-ing here. This is about Green Tip ammo, not all .223... and surprisingly, the BATF actually makes a damned good case on why the green tip had to go.
Green tip is AP, and AP cannot be sold for pistols. They exempted AP Green Tip .223 because in 1986, when the exemption was issued, there were no AR pistols. Now there are.
And dude, I am 100% pro-gun. I dont believe ANY ammo bans are cool. But, at least they were consistent and didn’t make up law (this time)
