This thing about robots reminds me of what we had to put up w/ a few decades ago when computers came out. Of course now we can all see the millions of jobs computers have created but a century ago the very word "computer" referred to a worker whose job it was to well, "compute".

century ago the very word "computer" referred to a worker whose job it was to well, "compute". When I was an undergraduate we used to joke about one of our math profs who took a calculator on his honeymoon. That was her job, to run a mechanical calculating machine in an office.
