And if in 2016, the Republican is a weak sister who compromises into being a functional Democrat, as in the past two (at least!) presidential races, then your vote will probably represent a minority, and so your candidate will probably lose, and the Democrat will win by default and fraud. Yes, because people like you stayed home rather than vote for anybody who did not meet your standards of perfection.

No, we just didn't meet the level of moral compromise and selling out our principles in order to be able to hold our noses and vote for a turd like Mitt Romney, who ,BTW, supported the following:
1. Gay Marriage
2. Abortion in the cases of Rape, Incest, Life AND HEALTH of the mother
3. Gays in the Boy Scouts
4. Gays in the Military
5. Gay Adoption
6. Amnesty
And that's the short list.
Your problem, with your line of reasoning, is that you don't care if your candidate comes even close to representing your values, just so long as he/she has an 'R' next to their name.
Mitt Romney did not represent conservatives at all.
His campaign motto to conservatives was "Where else are you going to go?!"

Stop confusing intentions with actions.
When you voted for liberal Romney, you intended to move things right, but you acted to move them left.
When I voted for Tom Hoefling, I intended to deprive giving liberals the power of my endorsement, and I acted to deprive them of that endorsement. I intended to prevent things from moving further left, and I acted to keep things from moving further left.
Own what you voted for, please, STOP confusing your intentions with your actions, and acknowledge that you intend deliberate insult when you accuse me and others of rejecting Romney because we wanted "perfection." It is a lie, and you know it is a lie (as well as an insult, as only an idiot seeks perfection in politics). That you have to lie to yourself and others to justify your actions (voting for a liberal like Romney) should be a red flag to you.
