They will face concentrated Air, Armor and Artillery - no more just riding into town in a pickup with a heavy machine gun and a few squads with AKs and RPGs, and executing civilians for ISIS - it is going to be a mass casualty exercise for them if they try to fight.
This is just a warmup for this Summer’s main event - the battle of Mosul. The Iraqi/Iranians are securing their supply line from Baghdad to Mosul by capturing Tikrit and retaking Camp Speicher.
The Battle for Mosul will be what I have been calling the “Summer of Death” for ISIS. Get your all your jihadi tourist kids in early, because once operations begin, travel will be difficult.
The Iran/Iraq War buried about a million. ISIS is in for a storm.
