I think it was Mother Jones that had a big expose on the Kochs not to long ago and determined that they were actually Libertarians.
Throwing that article out in the face of Progs makes it really hard for them to make the Kochs into the bogeyman ...
Well they did found the Cato Institute.
But it’s precisely because the Koch brothers are not just libertarians, but principled libertarians, that they are so hated by the left. The rest of the monied interests have been bought out by and bought into big government — so long as the power of the state props up their business model, or creates a regulatory environment that prevents competitors from entering the market (even if it’s a drag on their own bottom line, if it keeps start-ups, or upstarts, from competing with them, and freezes out disruptive technologies, lots of regulation is seen as good) — but not the Koch brothers.
