I mostly agree with you, but I don't think the party will collapse. It is important for the Democrats to have a Potemkin Village opposition, so Boehner will continue and be supported when necessary by the Left. I think, however, that demographics are destiny and millions (it will almost assuredly be more than the 5MM cited)of illegals who will now receive SSNs, work permits, 30+ thousand in back EITC payments will vote Democrat in 2016 after receiving all the help they need to register and vote.
