Hillary Clinton Says She Wants People to Read Her Email...When The State Department Releases Them

After days of controversy surrounding the use of personal email for all of her official State Department Business, former Secretary Hillary Clinton is breaking her silence.

Late Wednesday night Clinton sent out a tweet saying she has asked the State Department to release her emails.

As soon as possible? How about Clinton, who has access to all of her emails thanks to running private server from her house, releases them herself? And if she really wants the public to read her emails, she should do it now.

State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf, who has defended Clinton's use of private email for official business, said early this morning that the review will "take some time."

"The State Department will review for public release the emails provided by Secretary Clinton to the Department, using a normal process that guides such releases. We will undertake this review as quickly as possible; given the sheer volume of the document set, this review will take some time to complete," Harf said in a statement.

Yeah, some time to "delete." In the meantime the House Select Committee on Benghazi, headed by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has subpoenaed Clinton for her emails as part of their ongoing investigation into the 9/11/2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.

How could the White House be in the dark since I’m sure they sent emails. Surely they came in marked as external.

So they are going to review the e-mails SHE PROVIDES them.

Why it took so long for this to come out is beyond me - are the investigators blind, stupid or in on the criminal activity themselves?

Here is a beautiful trap Hillary is caught in: when she says that the State Department has to review them, she is admitting that they contain sensitive information; if they contain sensitive information, what the hell were they doing on your personal server and going in and out on your private email account?

If, in a back room agreement, the state department refuses to release them, then Clinton can consider herself off the hook for not releasing them, and she can publicly beg for their release, knowing they never will be.

“They’re all under her personal care, so I am sure nothing has been altered”

What’s in the emails is only part of it, as important as that is that they were on a private server outside of the requirements to use gov. email services. Although if a Repub. Sec. of State would have got caught doing this there would be multiple criminal investigations going on by now and the lib media would be in full devcon 4 alert with 24 hour reporting.

You’re right. So much easier than the old shredder they had to use when they were in the WH with Slick.

She’s definitely moved toward better technology. In the old days she just stacked documents on a table in the basement.

With an honest press it would be a trap. However...

Well, Her Thighness just set herself up for a Catch-22. She and DoS can’t claim that the emails to be released have to be reviewed for classified information, or any of them redacted under national security FOIA exemptions, since it’s against the law to have it on non-secured networks in the first place.

I would have thought the regime would have swooped down and seized Hitlery’s private server as soon as Obama got wind of it when it hit the news circuit.

If Hildebeast really doesn’t mind people reading her email, this tells me that she probably has 2 emails systems, the secret one that the honeypot she’s willing to give up and the super secret one that will remain super secret and nobody will see any email from that one.

You are right, but it helps seal off any rhetorical escape route and the net effect is that she really can’t explain this away, which will come out in debate if she runs.

I am very sorry to have to announce that Hillary’s hard drive was found dead in Fort Marcy Park apparently of a self inflicted degaussing.

The former First Lady and Secretary of State extended her most profound personal condolences to the Hitachi family of Enterprise Hard Drives
