Page 3, bottom right, “Patton Swam Sauer River to Inspire Men in Attack.”

Under fire, no less. He was an Olympic competitor in the modern pentathlon, after all.

How the men made it across, swimming with bazookas, is a little unclear to me. Aren’t bazookas rather large?

Patton’s exploit was astounding for any commander, much less the commanding general of an entire army. I’m curious why such a noteworthy feat, if true, was not chronicled in the movie—or was it and my memory is simply defective?
