Not to be cruel, but doesn’t the name of the sub sound like the last thing you’d expect to hear from a sailor drowning in one of its flooded compartments?

Whoever wrote this needs to brush up on his Russian sub classes. The Yasen class in not an SSBN. The Borei class is the new Russian SSBN built for the Bulava ICBM which after ten years of trying they finally got operational. The Yasen is an attack boat, not a boomer. It doesn’t launch ICBMs.

No worries for the sailors, their government is beyond broke, their credit is now rated junk, I doubt the sub will be started much less finished.

This article reminds me of Baghdad Bob.

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

The Yasen class are not ballistic missile subs. The Borei class are, and the Russians have three of those.
