I don’t think anyone has argued it is illegal. No one was arrested but it is morally indefensible, at least to me.

With posters on FR displaying increasingly negative opinions about "The Amish" and "Obama's Sons", at what point will you be advocating that FR gets shut down?

FR is a private business. The Robinsons may shut it down whenever they wish if the content becomes something they do not support. Or, they can simply banish users with whom they don't agree (and they have done this).

All the tongue-in-cheek references you are talking about usually involve specific instances in which criminals are identified through racial components all too often left out of the media's narrative.

I see a difference between doing that and singing a racist chant in public while actively representing a private organization.

I don’t get your connection. Why would I want FR shut down? Individual posters are responsible for their own opinions and Jim has kicked people out as a result.
