Is that abnormal?
I don't have any stats but it seems pretty common, always has.
Last year some old guy in a motorhome stalled on the tracks here in our town and got clobbered. Amazingly he survived (the part of his rig actually on the tracks was the back half of the bus). They found him strapped in the seat about a quarter mile down from the impact.
The weird part was the earlier one the guy ran away.
Not to get out of the way, but to avoid the police.
I wonder how many warrants he had and if he was here legally.
Sounds like my ol' dad. He was 85 y.o., deaf, nearly blind, and still driving, but he always told us kids to Stop, Look, and Listen before crossing a railroad track. I always thought he was full of it until I got old. Now I know he was sorta right about a few things. You wouldn't find ol' dad strapped in the seat cause he wouldn't wear a seat belt. But that was then, and people weren't as p.c. Dad only knew one way of doing things, his way.
