I don’t care what the reason is for daylight savings time, I love it. I love getting home in time to mow my lawn, or ride my bike or just enjoy my backyard for a couple of hours.

I think they should move it up 2 hours!!

We could use the old Roman standard: Every day the sun rises at 6 AM, no matter what time of year it is..............

agree but go the other way with this. Abolish standard time and keep daylight time as the standard.

I disagree. Let's have year-round standard time. Up until last week, I was finally getting up with the sun. I hate having to get up when it's pitch dark.

Excellent point, but one hour is plenty enough though

Let's compromise and move the clocks up an hour and a half.

The complaint is about having to shit time for any reason.

Gives new meaning to 'just passing time.'

Count me as a cosponsor. From 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM the hours will be 30 minutes long.

We should have nonlinear time that varies during the day and time of the year.

"Time" is a construct of the human mind. Nature has no need for clocks and watches. The concept of the passage of time is purely human.

The only time changes I support is “Weekend Savings Time”: Every Saturday set the clocks back four hours, then every Monday at noon set them forward four hours.

Just leave the clocks alone. If people want to get home from work earlier, employers should take notice and shift the standard working hours or else offer flexible hours. The sun and the earth are not going to change, but there is no reason whatsoever that “standard” work hours need to be 9 to 5.

That would suit me. No more ball games called due to darkness.

DST was extended during the Bush II administration during one of the those periodic spikes in oil prices. The GOP Congress and Bush II wanted to make it appear they were doing something to alleviate the situation with the bogus statistics about how DST saves energy.

My father told me the other day that when he was a kid growing up in Kentucky, a lot of farmers never changed their clocks. There was no reason to. They woke and slept the same time relative to the suns position in the sky.

I say split the difference. 1/2 hour and be done with it. Too many folks in society now do not know how to set a clock or a watch.

2.9 million out of a total annual oil usage of 6.95 billion or 0.04% or 14% of one’s day oil usage.
